Championing excellence through the INCITE Awards
Through our partnership, NRI is proud to be involved in the INCITE Awards — WA’s premier ICT and innovation awards program. These awards celebrate local excellence across government, industry, academia, and startups. This year, Ron Costanzo, NRI’s Senior Account Director and Health Industry Lead, has joined the judging panel, lending his deep industry expertise to help identify and champion standout talent and transformative ideas.
NRI is proudly sponsoring the Research & Innovation (Industry) Award – the same category that saw VetChip take home the win last year. Since winning the 2024 INCITE Award, VetChip has gone on to win the Chief Judge Innovation Award at the iAwards, secure the Purina Pet Care Innovation Grand Prize, join global accelerator programs, and be named a finalist for WA Innovator of the Year, marking a huge year of growth and recognition for its breakthrough animal health tech.

Inspiring young minds with the Game Changer Awards
We’re also proud to support the Game Changer Awards — a trailblazing initiative encouraging school-aged children to engage in STEM-related innovation and problem-solving. Gamechangers – now entering it’s 10 year – has been a launchpad for WA students to pitch projects that tackle real-world issues – from clean energy to mental health—guided by the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Last year, the program had 120 project submissions and brought in 440 students. Breaking new records thanks to its sponsors, judges and volunteers, and local schools. In 2025, the program looks to scale and engage 800 students across 25+ schools with broader regional and indigenous participation.
Driving community impact with Putt4Dough
It’s not all tech — our support also extends to Putt4Dough, WAITTA’s annual charity golf tournament that raises vital funds for the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation. This year marks 15 years of the WA ICT community coming together to support sick children across the state. In 2024, Putt4Dough raised $82,000 for the PROTECT study, supporting pre-term babies. In 2025, support will go towards raising funds for ‘Emily’ – a life-like simulation training manikan representing a premature 40-week-old baby. Emily’s airway enables specific breathing patterns such as recessive breathing, where skin is sucked in as a baby works harder than normal to breath. It can also simulate a collapsed lung and allows for the insertion of chest tubes.
As a long-term supporter of Putt4Dough, NRI are proud to sponsor and participate in an event that combines camaraderie, philanthropy, and a shared purpose: to unite our industry and support a vital community cause – helping sick children at Perth Children’s Hospital live their healthiest and happiest lives.
