Sydney, Australia – NRI, together with its specialist quality engineering business Planit, has announced a Gold Level Partnership with HerTechPath, a national non-profit that inspires girls and young women to explore careers in technology.
This builds on Planit’s relationship with HerTechPath, which began in 2022 and has supported free school workshops while giving employees the opportunity to participate as visible role models.
As a Gold Level Partner, NRI will expand the program’s reach through greater scale, resources and employee involvement across Australia.
Kaylene O’Brien, CEO of NRI, stated:
“Diversity is fundamental to how we innovate, solve complex challenges and deliver better outcomes for our clients at NRI. But building a more diverse technology pipeline starts much earlier. Representation matters not only in the workplace, but well before it, when young people are beginning to imagine where their careers might take them.
“Planit has laid a strong foundation with HerTechPath, and NRI coming on board as a Gold Partner gives us a practical and meaningful way to amplify that impact across our wider business and help more young women see a future for themselves in technology. That’s the kind of impact we’re proud to support.”
Building a more diverse technology pipeline
Through the expanded partnership, NRI and HerTechPath will focus on three key areas:
- Building the future talent pipeline: Engaging young women earlier to challenge stereotypes and broaden their understanding of careers in technology as accessible, creative and rewarding.
- Creating meaningful employee engagement: NRI employees will have more opportunities to step into classrooms as volunteer facilitators, panellists and role models, sharing authentic, real perspectives of what working in technology is like.
- Putting shared values into action: Building on Planit’s longstanding commitment to gender diversity and inclusive hiring, the partnership extends that focus across the wider NRI business and into the communities it supports.
Together, NRI and HerTechPath are working to ensure more young women have the opportunity, exposure and confidence to shape the future of Australia’s technology sector.
