Tokyo, November 16, 2023 – Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan, Chairman, President and CEO Shingo Konomoto, NRI) today announced the appointment of Kaga Yanagisawa as NRI’s President and CEO effective April 1, 2024, approved in a board meeting of its Board of Directors held on November 16, 2023.

Shingo Konomoto, current President and CEO, Chairman, Member of the Board, Representative Director will step down as President and CEO and be inaugurated as Chairman, Member of the Board, and Representative Director at NRI on April 1, 2024.

Following the resolution of the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders and the Board of Directors, which is scheduled to be held in late June 2024, Kaga Yanagisawa will be elected Member of the Board, Representative Director. Shingo Konomoto will be elected Chairman, Member of the Board.
